Codean Stanhouse

	Codean Stanhouse, 92, of DuQuoin, died Wednesday, December 13, 2000 at 10:37 a.m. at her home.
	Mrs. Stanhouse was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in DuQuoin.  
	She was born November 21, 1908 at Salem, Mo., the daughter of Abner F. and Elizabeth Jackson (Scott) Wingfield.  She married Edgar Stanhouse on November 19, 1930 at St. Louis, Mo. and he preceded her in death in August 1960.
	 Surviving are four sons, Roger Stanhouse of Midwest City, Okla., Jimmie Stanhouse of Byhalia, MS; Gary Stanhouse of DuQuoin and Don Stanhouse of South Lake, Tex.; two daughters, Betty Carter of Dupo and Paula Harrison of Ferguson, Mo.; one brother, Paul Wingfield of Salem, Mo.; one sister, Arzetta Wellman of St. Louis, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
	 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and six brothers and sisters.
	Funeral services were Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel with Rev. Max Borah officiating.  Interment was in IOOF Cemetery at DuQuoin.
	Visitation was at Neal-McClure Funeral Home Friday December 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until time of service.
	 Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, DuQuoin.
